Glock vs. M&P

I agree with the sig guy. That being said, I would definitely choose M&P over glock. I personally feel the glock brand is overvalued and has long term durability issues. This is my singular opinion however.

Thanks for all the input fellas.  Glock is slightly more accurate for me, M&P feels like an old friends hand shake though.  I do reload so using lead vs. fmj/plated bullets gives the M&P my thumbs up.

I've owned/carried glocks for a long time and I carry an M&P for 40 hours a week. They're both good. The M&P feels a little nicer in hand and feels slimmer on the belt.
I don't remember seeing or hearing of any issues with the M&Ps at the range.

I carry two glocks, one reason is the thumb safety on the M&P.

You can get the shield without the safety, I have one. It is a great gun and I am actually looking to sell...probably less than 50 rounds through it, reason for selling, I want to get the Walther PPS M2.

There were a couple police depts. (Honolulu and someplace else) that were ditching their M&Ps.  Claim was something like the trigger being too smooth, couldn't distinguish between start or end of travel--especially in high stress situation, and they were having too many accidental discharges.  Articles might still be floating around.

I had a slide rail bust on a Glock once. Older I get the more revolvers I purchased... until they all sank on a ship at sea suddenly..

Having owned and carried both I can honestly say they're equal in all functional aspects. I preferred the M&P because it felt better in my hand and I liked shooting it more. I will say that I don't like the grip angle on Glocks but I shoot them really well despite it.

I will say I love the reset on my glock 17 trigger makes for better follow up shots.

I have both and they both have advantages and disadvantages. Here is how I look at it. Glock has a better factory trigger (in my opinion) m&p is more comfortable in the hand. Both have great aftermarket support. I trust my life to both guns everyday. I carry a 9 shield and have a glock 19 for my winter carry/home defense gun. I had a full size m&p 40 and loved it. It had a full apex trigger kit and was awesome. I sold it because I shot the Glock better and it filled the same role. You can't go wrong with either. Look into cost of accessories you want and that could help you decide. M&P magazines aren't cheap.

Have had both. Glock seems more accurate & has a better trigger IMO. Got rid of the m&p.
A G19 & G26 are my main carry guns.

I always try to buy American but I like shooting my glock better then the M&P I sold.  We shoot M&P's at work and they are a lot better now then when they first came out.
