Ok guys, which tag are you buying for 10a whitetail, the regular deer tag or the whitetail ONLY tag???? My buddies and I are confused!! I thought it was the regular deer tag???

Whitetail ONLY. If you look in the regs on page 9 it will state that the regular tag is only good until Nov 3rd. The whitetail only tag is good through November if look on page 15.

That is weird, all these guys on this thread going and on the Idfg web site they haven't sold a single whitetail only tag? Strange.  I wonder if you all bought the wrong tag?

I saw that as well. The lady on the phone asked me specifically which tag I wanted and I said whitetail only so hopefully that's what comes in the mail. Maybe they don't update the quotas on the website?

I asked that same question when i bought my tag over the phone. She said she has sold a bunch of whitetail only tags but for some reason it doesn't change online.  The regular tag seems to change though.

You guys are killing me. I switch back and forth between Idaho and Montana and this year is Montana. Wish I was wealthy enough to do both!
IMHO ATV's are not needed. I walk in the same trails they go in and rattle in deer they drive right by. Get 100 yards away from those trails and I doubt you'll see anyone in a week.
When I first started hunting over there in the '90's every campground was packed. I was shocked at how few of hunters were around Pierce last year. We were the only camp in our campground.

All Deer tags come out of the "Regular and/or Whitetail" allotment until it is sold out then after that "Whitetail Only" tags are the only tag left available.

I'm curious why everyone is talking about 10a so much this year?  I've never seen so much excitement over that area, bigger deer are more north from what I've heard.

Ya idk I've seen A LOT of deer around elk city with lots of public land. Crazy how many people were in 10a last year. If people think they are going to experience a remote hunting experience with areas all to themselves they are mistaken. But everyone learns on their own.
