Hopefully the deer are up and moving a bit. Looks like it could be a wet weekend too

I am in unit 124 and the bucks around my place are not chasing does yet that I have seen.  Good luck to those headed out.   I will keep y'all posted on what I see.

All this early rut talk is nonsense.  Ive spent the last couple weeks in the woods, and the little time im not in the woods im watching the deer at home.  No rut behavior yet.  No seeking, no chasing, no big bucks acting like kids.  Its just flat out not happening yet, and likely wont be for another week at least.  Settle down guys.

I have 7 whitetail bucks and a dozen does here every morning in the dark..No rut behavior yet. They are just interested in the food.  I did see my first scrape out on one of my leases today...first one this season. Mulies are starting to show rut signs.

0 rut activity on my cams.. Mule deer always rut before whitetails. The deer in the mountains up north hit the peak of the rut a full week sooner than the southern units always been that way. We hunt 101 every year and those whitetails are rutting hard by Nov 15

nope my brother is hunting archery but I'm hunting modern. This has been the busiest summer I've had since 2007. We been slammed all year and I haven't had time for anything. Looking forward to mid November!

Anyone heading out this weekend to chase whitetail? I think I am going to give it a few days while I wait for some more ducks and geese to move down. I am just trying to decide if I drag my trailer up for just a night or two or just bring a tent.

I'll be at Bull Hill

Can you shoot deer there?

Yes, why wouldn't you?

Obviously its private, but I'm one of the good guys. :chuckle:

Oh I would too. I guess I assumed it was a rifle shooting trip rather than a hunting trip.
Good luck, dude.

I'm pretty sure I know where you'll be!  Good luck!  I'm still looking to fill my tag, but will probably go to Montana after Thanksgiving.  I've got a WA tag as well.
