Sinlahekin November rifle Mule Deer tag
« on: October 30, 2016, 03:38:32 PM »
I drew a Sinlahekin late Mule Deer tag that starts Nov. 1st-20th. I'm headed there to hunt Nov. 8th-20th. I'm excited that I drew that tag but I don't have any experience in the unit. I have great optics and lots of Mule Deer hunting experience. Any advice is much appreciated!

Get up in the Loomis Forest burn for long range glassing and hiking.  Lots of private and public in 215.  Do some homework.  Last day of season we made it over Lone Frank Pass without chains.  A little sketchy.  Good luck.

I drew with 13 points. Definitely looking forward to glassing Deer in the burnt areas.
I've been trying to do as much research as possible since I found out the draw results.
Was hoping to make it over this summer and drive the roads and look at the lay of the land but wasn't able due to a busy work schedule. I use Onyx maps so that should help me with the private and tougher access points around private ground. Can't wait to get over there!

Does anybody know if the Deer have migrated down in the Sinlahekin? I heard from a local that there was some early snow up high and the Deer started coming down early this fall. Also, I heard that quite a few Deer migrate into the unit from Canada just wondering about hunting up near the northern edge of the unit?
