What's with this little opossum?

This guy went by the camera 3 times over a couple of weeks. Is that a way that they carry nesting material around or does this opossum have a stick stuck somewhere that looks very uncomfortable?

Its carrying leaves with its tail. Very common. If I can find it I have footage of one doing the exact thing.

I have a couple more videos of some that don't have the leaves from the same camera, I assumed it was a different one since it didn't have a stick up its backside.
Learn something new everyday... opossum carry sticks and leaves with their tails and it looks really weird.

This is not true at all! They eat ticks, don't carry Lyme disease, and are the tasties damn critter out there!

  I agree. The amount of ticks they consume is astonishing. For that alone they are welcome on my property any day. Ive never tried to eat them yet. Do you have a good recipe for them?

And they are one critter that won't carry Rabies either!

All the meat on a possum is the legs. I've gutted those guys and will never again. Best way is just to take the thigh and separate it from the body. You end up with 4 chicken thigh & leg combo looking prices of meat... except they all have thumbs.... last time I just baked them over baby red potatoes  and chunks of onion.

It's really hard to tell from the video , but that's where Opossums will often carry their young.  If there were just two or three, it could look like that. Usually they have six or eight, and they cover the whole back.
