Daughter's Entiat Tag - Success!
« on: November 12, 2016, 08:22:07 PM »
A short but spectacular Entiat hunt for my daughter Lisa (aka huntwa - littlekiller)!  We arrived as planned on the afternoon of the 9th.  We left the cabin to head up Mud Creek for a quick 1 1/2 hr hunt before dark.  At the advice of many from the HuntWA community, we waited until middle of the permit-season to head over.  Glad we waited, in spite of the warm weather, the migratatory deer had poured into the unit!  19 deer in that evening hunt, 4 bucks (one tempting 4x4 ;))  Day 2 Lisa chose the higher elevations for our first morning hunt.  With plenty of deer up high too, my daughter's new hunting buddy 3ShotMgraw spied a buck that my daughter quickly fell in love with!  The buck was in a steep difficult position to move on.  We studied his position, took videos, and plenty of photos through the spotting scope as we devised a plan. With a plan secured, we embarked on an hour stalk, then kinda got pinned down, so we waited patiently.  A doe finally led the rutty buck into an opening, one 204 yd shot from Lisa's 7mm mag downed the deep forked prize for Lisa.  I think her smile says it all!  Special thanks to all the guys on here who helped out with advice and extra special thanks to our buddy 3Shot!!

Congrats to the young lady.

Great buck and congratulations to your daughter on a solid muley.  Yeah, it's been a bit warm the last couple of weeks.
