That brush pile isn't just a brush pile.  This is zoomed of course, but you get the idea.

Yes.  The best was in the cover and facing me. That will no doubt be a Calender shot.  He came out for just a second to run at an opposing buck.  Then right back into cover.  I enjoyed watching his behavior.   He then eventually broke cover as his doe moved off towards the herd.   I got him coming into three other bucks.   Then later that night just before dark, I got him in the wide open.  He had finally run the rat pack off.

Great photo. You mention the calendar, when will it be available? I get four of them each year, one for me and three for the guys in deer camp.

I'm trying my best to fill a Calender this year.  It would be nice for some weather to move in.   I'll have the elk for sure if not the deer.   I'm hoping to have both.  Usually about thanksgiving time.

Colder and rainy in the NE today, supposed to cool markedly over the course of the week with potential snow in the high country.

Sadly, I think that many times that brush pile just remains to my mind, just a brush pile, completely unrecognizable to my squash as to the actual situation in front of my eyes.  That "moment" happens much less often than I'd like.  Darned Blacktail.

Nice pic Bone!  Stunning buck.

I would take a best of calendar or just a few rehashed pics if you need filler for a few months.

Awesome buck. Looks very much like the big 3 I killed in the Methow a few years back, same G2 tine length difference and everything. He was just shy of 28" spread.

Another great shot, Bone. Thanks.

He is a little wider than 28
