It was snowing good at the top of 20 on the way home today but that was it.
THE WORLD NEEDS MORE PEOPLE HOLDING DEER IN PICTURES...
AND LESS PEOPLE HOLDING CAMERAS IN FRONT OF BATHROOM MIRRORS.

The buck I shot yesterday morning was sniffing the ground at 550 yds away, he headed the same trail I saw a doe go who was feeding about 300 yds from me. I tried to close the distance and he was at the doe, I got a range on her before he chased her at 200 yds, I was sitting on my butt using shooting sticks when he stopped I shot and he turned right when I pulled the trigger. Clean miss, the doe ran right at me with him right on her tail I said "HAY" and he stopped looking at me, heck shot at 40 yds. Funny thing was the doe stayed right there while I looked for my brass, she even walked up to him and took a sniff. I'm getting bucks at all different times of the day right now on my game cameras.

I have the blue mountain whitetail tag and took my 11 year old boy out this Friday and Saturday. We seen a lot of does but not many bucks until last night we spotted a 170" class buck following a doe... he was massive but I couldn't get a shot. I got in between him and the doe he was following and the doe began grunting; I thought for sure he would chase the doe and come right to me but he wasn't that stupid. I never did see him again. My boy told me he was really shaking after seeing that!

I also have a blue mountains tag.  I have been seeing a lot of rutting action, but nothing close to 170.  Can you please give me directions to where you saw him?
