I bought a Exped Synmat UL 7 almost 3 years ago. While on a trip this fall the seam split, but still held air. It basically pulled 2 chambers into one and thus I had a big air pocket that was 5 inches tall instead of 3 1/2 inches like the rest of the pad. Well in between trips the folks at REI suggested I reach out to Exped (along with my wife suggesting). I didn't have much hope since it was 6 months out of warranty in rough terms.
Outcome - Long and short of the story, I spoke with Exped and they said return it and they will check it out. Today in the mail, 10 days after returning it, I received a brand new sleeping pad.
I am very impressed with this company's customer service on an inflatable sleeping pad. Thought I would give the public thumbs up on this one.
