Rimrock wolves
« on: November 23, 2016, 06:58:49 PM »
So today I had lunch with the cowboy who along with is wife a few others rides the rimrock area for cows. He and his wife live in their trailer from may to October, at least one member of there four man team is in the saddle and riding everyday and most day it's two of them, he has done this for many years. I asked him about wolves and he said none of them have every seen or heard a wolf, not even a track.

not to get off track, about 93ish we were doing a timber sale just a bit from conrad meadows, bordered the rez, anyway there was a trail head right where we were that went across a huge rock slide and bow hunters were packing in there and every now and then when they came out we would get to b.sing them and three different sets swore they saw grizzly bears up in there, anybody hear of this or seen them themselves?
go ahead on er.

Look at how many people on here post pics of domestic dogs or coyotes saying theyre wolves, or dog / yote / cougar / bear tracks thinking its wolf....   you really trust some random idiot to know the diff between a color phase black bear and a grizz?

Saw one about 50 feet in front of me in the cowiche about 1000 yards from the rimrock unit....but ya know I may just be one of those idiots that doesn't know the difference...I've only killed hundreds of coyotes...so I wouldn't really know much about em...
