I put about eight miles on the boots Tuesday and seen lots of buck which eventually led to me spotting a really nice buck that I'm guessing was about 170". He was 800 yards away so I put a stalk on him and shot right under him at 300 yards and was depressed all evening lol Wednesday morning we seen 3 more bucks nothing we wanted to go after though. We sat down to glass for an hour or so and when I stood up a 2 point jumped out of the draw behind us so I followed him up and over the ridge into the next draw and he was feeding on the other side and eventually bounded off into the next bigger canyon. Me and my hunting partner were standing there making a game plan when this guy and 2 does jumped out of there beds at only 15 yards away and I had about 3 seconds to make a shot before he would have been out of sight. I made a poor shot on him at about 25 yards everything happened so fast. I had to run about 200 yards as fast as I could to try and get another shot on him and there he was at 400 yards broad side so I got a nice rest on my pack laying down and smoked him, folded him up like a lawn chair. I almost crapped my pants when I walked up to him and seen how nice he was
