Awesome Camper
« on: June 18, 2016, 02:45:24 PM »
I am now building campers for sale. I have built two so far. One for myself and one for a rancher that  uses  his on his cow lease. I live in Colorado but would deliver to Washington.

This camper is built with the following design goals.  Good to -30. No rats or mice!!! Live in the outback for weeks with no problem.

It has two double beds, full long. The width of  double and the length of a queen.  A table that is 42" long and stows away when not in use.

It is super insulated. I had it out all winter and it was -20. It stayed toasty with a very small electric heater set on low. It also has a propane heater that will keep it warm at -20 for two weeks with a 40# bottle of gas. The propane heater comes from the sailing world. It pulls the air from outside. It vent to the outside. It has insulated windows that all open.

This is a lifetime camper. It is built like a house but weighs no more than another camper of the same length. 2x4 walls, 2x6 floor and all the wall ply and roof glued and stapled. Insulated with closed cell foam that glues it all together.  It is 25' long and weighs 5900# dry.  I save weight by building on an aluminum frame. It has 94 gal. of water storage and a composting toilet.

It has a full size bathroom with a 32" shower. Hot and cold water. It runs on a 2000 watt generator. I have tested it to 100 in the summer in Texas. It stays cool with very little power.

Do you buy the aluminium  frame or Weld it up yourself? What kind of axles? Spring or torsion bar?

Cool idea. I bet you could "camp" full time out of that thing.
In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.
