Bring a predator call. If you can hunt on an ATV, use it. You have to have insurance on them and have the Idaho ATV license plate. They're about $25, but well worth it. You can go behind locked/closed gate legally, for the ATV nazis, and get back a ways. The absolute most sign I ever saw was at Elk City. We were way behind the gates on our ATV's, right out of town. There is a motel in town and a nice RV park too.
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............

Thank you. I'd be on foot though.
I found out our regional Vice President is from Idaho and still goes home to hunt throughout the year. He told me that the electronic calls are not working well anymore out there but, I do have a coyote mouth call.

Your welcome. Priest Lake area is pretty good too. My trapper friend goes up there in the winter and snowmobiles into Gold Creek(?), north of Nordman,  ( I think that's the name ) again, a real nice little motel there and RV park, no gas there, just south about 10 miles or so. I'be been all over northern Idaho hunting them and the locals will tell you exactly where they've seen them. They hate wolves with a passion, unlike Washington.

Honestly it's not worth the gas to go hint just wolves unless you are trapping. They don't run all over the place like some think over here.

None. I just learned where they are by spending money and talking to people to try and get one. How many have you killed ?

I've seen 7 in the commie state of Washington.

Can someone flip this please...

I'm already going to be in Orofino next summer, and maybe I can get some hunting in during that time.

Orfino is where my cousin has filled his tags the past few years. Like any animal that gets hunted, they get educated. The sounds & techniques that once worked they become wise to. Where the game animals are is a good place to start, that & time in the bush. The more your out, the better your odds.
