Vortex Razor HD 12x50 Bino's

My binos were stolen earlier this year, guess that means its time to upgrade.  The 12x50 Razor HD's are the ones i have my eyes on.  Anyone have any experience with this particular pair of binos?

That's a big giant pair of bino's. Not sure I'd want to haul them around, then there's the whole holding them steady with the 12x...
Good bino's otherwise, just large.

They are .6 of oz heavier than the 10's.  They are well worth that extra weight.

I picked up a pair of Razor 12 X 50's from Elknut on here.   

I would buy the 12 X 50s again, and I would buy from Elknut again.

But they're a quarter pound heavier than the 10x42's and dimensionally larger. That's what I would compare to.
12x will be less steady hand-held and heavier hanging around your neck and/or holding up to look through.  Things to consider.

Just got a pair this year and I love them. Very clear glass and well built binos.

The razor binos are a solid piece of equipment. I have had them since the new gen came out and love them. Size is a personal choice. The 50 mm are a good bit larger and bulkier than the 40 tho.

I have the 10x50's. 12x's were a little too much on the eyes while glassing without a steady rest.

If we are talking the 42's there's a considerable difference. I was assuming 50's. Valid points.

There are some dandy really light weight tripods available.  If you decide on the 12 powers, it will be like another dimension opens up once you tripod mount them.  You will have issues hand holding them for long lengths of time.  In order to get full benefit from them you need to spend time behind them.

I like Vortex product real well and think it is a value leader at every price point they are in. 

The binocular I use most is a 6x32 Viper, now discontinued.
