I have a 24 inch barrel, tikka 7 mm Magwith laminate stock with a Zeiss Hd5 3x15x50 with the rapid z 600

The reason I ask is I am looking for advice on
1). Best factory load you've found for deer out to 600 yards, with respect to accuracy and clean kills.

2). Handloading recipe that works well for this specific combo for same application to 600 yards.

Anyone?  Thank you in advance.
JEFF

I've used the rapid z 800 with a tikka 300wsm using factory ammo. Just shoot your rifle through a chronograph and plug the info into the calculator on the zeiss website to get the power you need to be on. Works pretty good for me.

Another Rapid z800 user here on the 3-15x HD5. I'm still shooting the same cheap blue box Federal Power Shok's that I always have. Remember you can go to the Zeiss website and chose your round and it will tell you what the specific yardages are for each line. Farthest I've smoked a deer was in Wyoming last year at 450 yards. Double tapped a couple of does  :IBCOOL:  :IBCOOL:

Maybe its just me, but couldn't you enter your information on there app and play with it until it matches and use that FPS and find a load to match that?

Yes.  You guys are correct. I can easily use the Zeiss calculator.  However, was looking for a load someone has had exceptional experience with so I do not have to try various factory loads or spend a lot of time working up a hand load.  Was looking for some experience with this particular combo of rifle/scope to alleviate some of the guess work and give me a starting point.

Thankyou all for your comments.  Happy Christmas Eve Day!
JEFF

I have a sako 7mm which is very similar.  I shot 168 bergers with vhita vohri very well with fed 215 primers 3.36 coal 65 all the way up to 67.5 N560 power shot sub moa.  The hsm 168 grain berger factory loads shot 5 shot group sub moa at about 2850-2889.
