Looking to purchase a bow around March was curious wat all you fellow bow hunters fell is the best all around bow for the performance and price I realize they are not cheap so DonT worry about price just want opinions so I can narrow down my choices I really like the Mathews prime and Hoyt brands

Is it your first bow, or a replacement.  I am    , but  shooting as many as possible is really the best advice. All three of the brands you mentioned put out quality products.  As do several others.

  My OPINION of the three you mentioned would be Prime. I am waiting to shoot their longer ATA bow before making a decision. But their flagship is awsome.

Another thing to consider is the definition of "performance" varies. To some raw speed is performance, to others shootable speed, to others speed is not a factor and forgivness  is the most important thing. Of course fit and finish, and overall reputation also play a role. All of the major players are gonna be within a couple hundred of each other on flagship models, unless going to hoyts carbon bow. So it really depends on what your definition of performance is and which bow meets that.

The new Bowtech bow the Reign is out and I can't wait to shoot it,. It has a little longer ATA at 32 5/8",  I was hoping for a little longer ATA than that, but it looks like a good bow though. From what Bowtech has said is their building the limbs in house now. Even though I have never had any limb issue with all my of my Bowtech bows I'm hoping that they have fixed the issues that other people are having with the limbs.

Of the three bows you posted I really like the Prime bows, I wasn't sold on the dual/split cams but they've actually grown on me once I shot them, not the fastest bows they're super smooth shooters and very little hand shock on the shot.

It will be my first bow I  want to be able to experience the challenge as well as the great season opportunities. I appreciation all the advice and will take any that is given prime is a great bow from wat I have researched wat prime would u recommend I like the look of the Mathew Chillr but not sure on wat  I really should be looking for for a first bow i. Am also am curious if i should be looking new or used I just want new for the warranty mainly

So far the bows you discussed are in the $1000 range. This time of year is perfect for looking at first time bows because you can find 2016 bows or even 2015 bows at great prices. I would look into 1 or 2 year old new on archery talk or ebay. Elite Synergy or Energy 32 can be had for less than $700 same with Prime Rize and Rival.

For a first time shooter my recommendation for you is something with an ata of 32 inches or more and a brace height of more than 6 inches. Longer ata is easier to hold steady and longer brace height is more forgiving on your shooting form. If you want me to explain that more I will.

If you know nothing about bows I'd advise against buying used unless you can have it looked over at a tech before purchase. The biggest advantage of buying new(presuming you'll be buying from a bow shop and not online) is that the shop that you buy from will usually take care of tuning it/mounting accessories/other minor work for next to nothing.

If it were me, I wouldn't get caught up in the brand drama. When it comes to the top players(Prime, Mathews, Bowtech, Elite, Bear, PSE, Hoyt, etc) they all put out good bows. You're going to have people who swear by one or the other. Don't get caught up in the speed race, either. Most manufacturers use a standardized test which is typically the bow maxed out on draw weight, max draw length, nothing on the string, and a lighter than legal arrow to come up with those speeds. Its not uncommon to lose 30-40+fps when all is said and done.

My advice, like others, would be to shoot as many as you can, and don't buy the first one you shoot no matter how hard the salesman tries.

I'll play the opposite card and say buy a used bow and save some serious $$, but buy the right one.

I got my 2014 Martin Alien off here for $300 from a guy that simply had too many bows to justify keeping all them. He shot this one less than a dozen times before listing it. Saved me ~$600 and I couldn't be happier. Compared to some Hoyt's, PSE's, etc. that I've tried, I like it better (quieter, faster, lighter).

I will agree with a lot of people's suggestions on trying out a bunch of brand/varieties. The technology between them is really all the same in my experience, but the feel/balance/look/noise/tunability/weight/etc is what makes you like a certain one over another.

Buy a used bow from ebay that's about  2 to 5 years old. Then u can get a set up that would have cost  u $1500 brand new for $800. Or spend  $300 on one and hunt with it for a season or 2 then drop more money when u get to know  what u want in a bow and use that one for a back up cuz 8th a good idea to have a back up in camp.

I have a two year old Carbon Cure and it is working great.  The RAK rest was a piece of junk and I replaced it though. 

I'm not hard to please though.  I had to get a new bow because my old Spoiler was just too heavy for me to ever be able to pull it again.

I'm a Mathews fan but that's cuz I'm not a speed freak I look for dead in the ha d accuracy and a quiet bow... they get mixed reviews but I love the NoCams but that's cuz they work best for me... shoot what fits your needs but try em all.. Elite Bowtech and Prime also make great bows (no experience with Hoyt)... but I suggest thinking critically about what you want out of a bow and shoot em all till you find exactly that
