TT upland G3 - broke the tether
« on: January 07, 2017, 11:31:03 AM »
So peeved I broke the tether off my transmitter climbing over a fence a couple days ago working with pigeons,  I somehow hooked it just right and popped off the plastic piece that holds the tether cord  :bash:    I normally throw the receiver over my back when climbing fences, but missed it this time.

I always wear it around my neck over my bird vest.

What's a good way to secure the transmitter?  I know I can't be the only one with a broken tether.   I hate digging it out of my pocket with gloves on.

If it were me, I'd try to find a way to teather it. I lost one the I had clipped to my vest a few years back. Wouldn't have lost it if it had been looped over my head!

I'm going to sew on a web strap D loop on it and hook a C clip and tether on it.  Just needed something to attach too since I broke the tether pin off the bottom.

Also got me a new collar battery while I was at it but having trouble sourcing additional collars to add another dog, probably upgrade if that happens.

Drill a hole in the gusset and put a zip tie through it.

through the cover gussets? Or are talking about the transmitter itself?

The green gusset on the top of your transmitter. It will obviously hang opposite than before but atleast it will be connected to you.
