Late season muzzy deer help.

Hey guys, I'm at a road block here.  My time in the woods is limited.  I took a stroll on some state land, found some recent (within 3 days of the snow) tracks. Tossed out some apples just to catch their attention. Would it help to rattle some to see if there is still a racker around?  Or should I just sit and wait along trails and hope for the best .     I'm a stand hunter from Michigan, so that's what I know.

Its legal, so what the hay? Keep it under 10 gallons or whatever the requirement is and have fun.

You have seriously cold weather/snow coming, those animals should be on the move most of the day. You can find a travel route or area with some vis and sit and watch. This is probably the surest bet. The last time I hunted late archery over there was years ago but I had weather and cold move in and the deer were ultra active for a couple of days before they settled down again. I was still hunting and had I been using a ML I would have killed an animal.

Rattling could work, I probably wouldn't do hardcore rattling but more sparring as we're nearing the end of the rut there. 3Nails might have a better opinion on that though, he's the rattling master.

Thanks guys.    I know it's legal, just some people who are very anti baiting.    I've got a spot next to a tree about 75 yards from a field and a little make shift blind some guys before me built up..  I know from.back home the deer move the day before bad weather hits.   But it's been bad weather every single day.  Hopefully this break we have right now holds till noon when I can get out

I went out last year and ate tag soup,. Granted I wasn't really trying for a deer.    I'm limited to 130-139 GMUs    thinking of heading to 133 this next week to try there

I appreciate the help guys.    No luck yet,. Been sticking close to home..   was having deer come through during the night hours.  But nothing while i was sitting..   there's a group of mulies that stick right inside city limits. Smart buggers,.  Thinking of going for broke and going out to some state land on 133,. I'm really all out of options haha.      Are mulies more spot and hope you see one and stalk type or can you bait them to getem to come to you ?   A good friend of mine also said that he hasn't ever seen a deer near fishtrap.   I've been out there a fair amount of times and haven't see. Any.  Maybe it's just us.

I'll be out tomorrow come.hell or high water. the only deer I seen today were eating in someone's front yard...  I'm hoping with the pending storm.  I can see them in the morning on my pile,. If not. I'll be going for a drive.
