Funny how I look at that number and cringe, yet agree with Bigshooter. We should be able to shoot them on sight like coyotes and it makes me mad we don't. That said I'd pay that much to be the trigger puller.

"WDFW had planned to eliminate the entire Profanity Peak pack, which was preying on cattle in the Colville National Forest. The department suspended the operation with four wolves surviving.

WDFW said the chances of attacks on livestock continuing were low because the grazing season was ending."


 Next spring/summer the new batch of pups will have experienced cow killing teachers, and WDFW can pretend to manage their wolves once agin.

Wish they would.  But reality is $119K is probably a lot cheaper than the greeny lawsuits if the opened a season before delisting.

Maybe they could cancel the 800,000 contract for their "facilitator".   

At their current rate, that would fun removal of about 50 more wolves.

Kind of like the deer culls in the northeast cities, huge bills, never allowed to really control numbers, and they do it all again over and over. 
What was accomplished with several packs overlapping in the northeast?  Ask the Gebbers or McIrvins how effective this plan is.
