Forgive me
« on: December 15, 2016, 07:49:52 AM »
From another site, modified to fit here, but true of the silly nit-picking that goes on nonetheless:

Forgive me, fellow hunters: I have committed sins against Hunt-Wa, and my transgressions are many...

#1. I was stunt shooting with a .270 Winchester
#2. I used a conventional CNC bullet, NOT a Nosler Partition
#3. I used a Remington 700. It didn't fire by itself, and the bolt handle didn't fall off...
#4. It was not nestled in a McMillan stock!
#5. Horror of Horrors...the scope mounts were windage adjustable
#6. The scope was a 2x7 Redfield Revolution, barely got the job done without a European name...
#7. There was no blue tape or ballistics charts to be found on the rifle.
#8. I did not install a cobra sling holding 5 emergency rounds of ammo.

I am riddled with guilt. I ask you, my friends, what can I do to make up for all these lapses in judgment?

Hi Bob, I didn't get to try the meat. I borrowed the post from another hunting website.

It would have been a better story if you went traditional, and used the knife instead of the rifle....just sayin.

I would have said the obvious a big slab of BBQ pork ribs would go a long way to may up for your lapse in judgement............

But since it is not your pig, well your just screwed,

I think the only fair sentence for a crime of this magnitude is sentencing you to read every single post about Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton for the next two weeks. If you fulfill that obligation and demonstrate a truly contrite attitude for this atrocious behavior, all further consequences will be forgiven.

Not gonna lie...I like the knife better than the rifle.
:fire.:

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield
