Rest Upgrade`

Looking to upgrade the rest (finally) on my diamond bow.  It currently has the 3 brush rest, which I am getting tired of replacing the brushes on, and as they quickly wear down I notice arrow flight changing.
Not looking to spend as much as I did on my bow on a rest, but also looking for something I can take with to the next bow that i do buy.
Looking at the ripcord ace micro?
What do you all recommend in that general price range?  What other features should I be looking at?
I do like the idea of a rest staying up on let down in case that needs to happen in a given situation in order to keep the arrow contained.

Take a look at the Trophy Taker rests.  Very, very reliable (less internal moving parts than the Ripcord) and pretty reasonably priced.  They have a great containment system, are quiet, and to date on both my bow and my partner's, have worked flawlessly for a handful of years.  Myself and hunting buddy both had two separate bad experiences with the Ripcords.

I have the truglo down draft, it doesn't stay cocked on let down but is full containment and easy on the wallet.

Also take a look at the Trophy Ridge Revolution 2.  I have it on both of my bows and love it.  Full containment, stays up on letdown, and you should be able to pick it up for around $40.

Shoot trophy taker for years but had a few problems this last year granted they made this right and the customer service was great but I've switched to vapor tail limb driver and been very happy with them.

I bought this rest thinking the micro adjust would be nice too. The gearing is to big and clunky to do any "micro adjusting". Regret getting rid of the code red I had.

Ive been using the QAD HDX for 2 years now and love it.  Don't have any experience with any other "upgrade" type rests.  Old bow had the stationary pins the arrow rested on ... forget what those are called.  Then I shot a whisker biscuit for a year.

I have a QAD on one bow and a Trophy Ridge Revolution on the other. Both rests are reliable and I have never had a problem with either.

Another vote for the Smack Down. Getting bows to tune with limb driven rests has always been really easy for me, some of the up cable rests not so much. My oldest Smack Down is about 5 years old and has never given me a problem, really solid rests.

My last bow had a WB. 

I have a QAD on my current bow and it works.  I had one a few years ago on another bow and it failed, jury still out for me.  One thing to consider is follow up shots, yes they happen and if they do they have to happen FAST and quiet.  The QAD imho is not great for follow ups, doable yes by all means, but not optimum.  the arrow just will not stay on the forks as you draw so you would have to nock, then flip the fork up to lock position to hold the arrow then hook release and draw.  Completely doable, just something to keep in Mind.

With that in Mind I have seen the Trophy Taker that Phantom has, and it is the best of both worlds.  Nice big cage to drop arrow shaft into, with a wide fork that will capture the arrow as you draw every single time.  If I ever get tired of or replace the QAD it will be to one of those.  It does not have a hold/lock up feature but the design of the cage and fork it is not needed.
