I have a Trophy Taker on my Diamond Carbon Cure and it is a huge improvement over the RAK rest.  Others say I could have done better, but it seems to work well.

My last bow had a WB.

I have a QAD on my current bow and it works.  I had one a few years ago on another bow and it failed, jury still out for me.  One thing to consider is follow up shots, yes they happen and if they do they have to happen FAST and quiet.  The QAD imho is not great for follow ups, doable yes by all means, but not optimum.  the arrow just will not stay on the forks as you draw so you would have to nock, then flip the fork up to lock position to hold the arrow then hook release and draw.  Completely doable, just something to keep in Mind.
With the QAD I dont have any problem with follow up shots.  I never have my draw pull the rest when I practice so its pretty ingrained for me.  The rest is going up when I move my hand off the arrow and go to clip my release.  I would agree though that others can make it simpler to just throw the arrow in and go, but Im definitely not loosing any time.

I have a QAD ultra rest, TT Smackdown Pro and the Trophy Ridge Evolution.
Hands down my QAD has been the best rest I've owned and has not let me down once in eight years. No problems with follow up shots either.
I never was a Trophy Taker fan, but I really have enjoyed using the smackdown pro, it was easy to tune, and has worked flawlessly.
The TR Evolution seemed like a gimmick to me when I seen it on the rack and I never would have bought one, but I bought a bow that had this rest on it. After shooting with this rest now for a couple months I can honestly say it's not a gimmick, it holds the arrow firmly, tuned easier than I expected, and I have complete vane clearance with blazers, if your looking for an inexpensive rest I think this is a great rest for the budget minded without sacrificing accuracy.

The Trophy Taker's have s small spring inside that will break. I would look at the QAD, Hamskea or the new AAE Nock On rest.

QAD is the best

That is what I hear so often that I am inclined to believe it is true.  As I posted above I have a Trophy Taker and like it just fine.

Sighting a single spring as a con and reason not to buy a TT is a bit hypocritical imho.  QAD has springs as well an inertial system so that they lock up to hold arrow but then drop when you shoot.  If you nitpick TT for having a spring then you have to do the same for all the mechanical rests and then only logical choice would be a WB.  My 1st QAD failed because of tumbler issue, current one is great and I love it, but they are mechanical just like TT and not fullproof either.

i switch from a whisker bisquet to a QAD. ive always been a less moving parts guy the better. But the QAD does the same thing as a WB.  You will be more accurate due to the fact your arrow is not toucjing the rest all the way down the arrow. Also will pick up a couple ft/sec in speed

What did you go with?

I have a QAD and Smackdown. Like the QAD more.  I'm not a fan of the limb cord.  :twocents:

You can tie the cord into the down cable instead of running it to the limb.

True. But you will have constant pressure on the cable. Not sure if I like the idea of that.
