A guy that was much older than my dad died a few years ago out duck huntin. This made me think of that. I knew him since I was 5. He hunted on the duck club my dad was in. He went out with a bang shot a double and a triple that day on the way in he walked across the flooded rice field to the center road had a heart attack and keeled over. That's how id like to go.

I have a relative in Oklahoma who died when his shot at a ringneck dislodged a blood clot which instantly caused a brain aneurysm.  Family lore says he and the pheasant hit the ground dead at the same time.  He was in his late 80s and the family considers it a great end to a well-lived life.
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.
