Seems like it varies year to year with success.  Tons of animals but rough terrain.  I talked to a guy at sportco once that said he pulled it and had no idea what he got himself in to.  He only got out 2 times and gave up.

I apply every year just hoping i get a shot.

Buddy of mine had a tag, I went in with him the first weekend. Opening morning see a big 3 point that had the biggest body of any blacktail I have ever seen but we wouldn't have had time for a shot even if he wanted it. Spikes and 2 points are all he seen after that, never shot one. He said on his last day in there that the guy at the gate told him they only brought out three deer the whole time

Based on other posts he made, I'm curious to know if that guy is a Muckleshoot.

I do know that was a smoker buck for sure.  Just went back and looked again, my goodness that was a nice buck.

I'm curious to know if it was an actual special permit buck or not. That's the reason for my curiosity.

I would love this tag. We hunted unit 466 a lot when I was younger. We would sit up high and glass into 485 down the power lines and see big bucks in November. I have found some nice sheds close to the boundary.

I had the tag in 2008 and shot a big bodied 4 point who stepped out to investigate the   sparring match between two little bucks we werè watching. I was told the mucks get to go in the week before the permit guys.
