Ruger American Predator?

Curious to hear about anybody's experience with these boomsticks.  The price is certainly reasonable (I can actually get one for around 450 bones w/no tax on an Army installation) and they have a good handful of available calibers.  Possibly looking at a 6.5 C or a 243.  Have any of you cats shot a Predator version of the Ruger American (or perhaps own one), and, how do you like how they shoot, trigger, cycle rounds, etc.  Thanks in advance for the discussion!  RJ

This forum is full of good reviews and positive news for the Ruger American rifles.  Sounds like a solid choice, great bang for the buck so to speak.

I was thinking of getting this same rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor within the next week. It certainly sounds like a great rifle.

It is Cabela's they are about the last place to go and get a deal on something unless it is a door buster.  For firearms they pretty much charge full msrp most of the time.

Agreed. But I have a $100 cabelas gift card plus about $60 in cabelas points. So that would take the edge off.

Buddy just bought the 6.5C and loves it, seems like a lot of rifle for the $
