Lost Wedding Ring on 70 above Greenwater
« on: December 21, 2016, 09:01:32 AM »
I lost my wedding ring in the snow helping pull someone out of the ditch. Right on the side of the 70. White gold with a groove slightly off center. If you find it this spring I'd be happy to have it back!

Hope it gets found and returned. I lost my wallet wood cutting several years ago in the fall. It was returned to me via forest service. A good individual found it laying in the road in the spring while snowmobiling. Hopefully you will have the same result!

Memorize the mile marker or any recognizable features and go back up with a metal detector this spring

I will. I was already there with a metal detector and a propane torch but it takes a lot longer to melt 2 feet of snow than I expected and there is apparently a LOT of metal on the sides of these roads.

But when the snow is gone, it might be easier.

That sucks, does gold set off a regular metal detector?

Lost my glasses helping clear a tree off of 503.  Stopped several times and searched in the snow.  Found them a few weeks later.  Still snow left when I found them.  Might be easier before all snow is gone :dunno:.  Good luck.

Was boning out my bull this year and flung  piece of fat off. Off sent my ring. We heard it hit about 15 ft away but couldn't find it. I'm planning on going up this spring with a metal detector.

That's a terrible feeling, I lost mine last winter when my finger shrunk, brushing mud off my jeans after work when I met the wife and kids at Gov't Camp. Surprisingly they called in the spring and had found it. If you keep searching you will find it  Good luck.

Nope you'll need a gold detector, vs a METAL detector.  :lol4:
