There was nothing moving on the east side  :bash: not even rabbits  :dunno: but I decided to check a prebait site that nothing was touching and wouldn't you know I jump a bobcat that was up the tree eating on the beaver  :yike: startled the crap outta me . So I pulled it down and replaced it with a trap. I got 3 more cat cages set and 4 more marten cages up

Dang. Probably still good odds he'll come back to the trap. My guess anyhow. Seems like cats aren't too scared off by human scent or human activity.

Today was a crappy day to say the least
First got a late starting at 6:30 and then got stuck in the avalanche control for an hour and a half  :bash:
Finally got over the pass to check traps and wouldn't you know it every trap was sprung and messed up by ya you know it COYOTES  :bash: I've never seen this many coyotes at this elevation before with this much snow! But the one cool thing is that I went in a new area and cut some fox tracks so using some info from Machias I got 2 cages set  I'm crossing my fingers
