Nice! That does make for a long day but oh so worth it. Do you consider the mixer a "must have"? That is a piece I don't have but am on the fence whether it's necessary.

Looking good.  We have started to freeze burgers and then vacuum sealing them.

Looks great BTW!

The mixer works great on frozen, or near frozen meat.  Other than that I think it makes it kind of mushy.  I got mine as a present.  It does help with keeping your hands from freezing, but a must have, no...a nice to have if you don't have to pay for it, yes!

The double burger press/shaper from Cabelas that goes from the grinder to the press is really nice, and yes, the patties go into the vacuum bags and then frozen, and then cooked from frozen or near frozen form seem to really hold their shape well and stay very moist.

looking good I need to do a few days like that to.

I have a couple hundred pounds of elk meat I still need to make steaks out of and bulk sausage.  I have a few more weekends of grinding, mixing and vacuum sealing to go!

Why I bought one. Hand mixing is easier and warmer.............
