I have one from a Redtail Hawk!

Has to be a story behind that.  :dunno:

I found a dead banded hawk just laying in the woods by Baker one time. Same style as a duck band but it wraps around on the back... Reported the # and never got the info back on it. Other then that I've got mallards and Pins.

Cool stuff.  A friend of a friend just bagged a hen pintail with a band.  Thought that was pretty unusual.

All mallards and canada geese for me. One big mallard drake was banded in St. Johns Newfoundland and I shot him in the Moses Lake area. It was 4 years since he was banded. I double checked the band number and it was right. I was very surprised how far this fellow had traveled.

Here is some information from one of our hunts this year. One of them was shot alone on the first flock of the day and the others were shot out of one flock that had 6 banded birds!
