3" dummy shells
«

Looking for some 3" dummy shells to practice loading and unloading my shotgun so I can at least be proficient with that before taking it out. My grandpa gave it to me earlier this fall and I just got it back from the gunsmith. Could I find dummy rounds at a Cabelas or Sportsmans Warehouse or does anyone know where I could find a few?

I got snap caps from Sportsman's Warehouse, they come in 2 3/4" only. I don't know of any other brand anyone keeps on hand other than Azoom. I can't forsee any reason they wouldn't work if you can chamber 3".

Sportsman used to have them, I doubt Cabalas would. 2.75" will work in 3" chamber but 3" will not work in 2.75. I do not believe anyone makes 3" dummies, because there is no payload. Only reason for 3 or 3.5" is a larger payload of shot.

Thanks for the reply. That makes sense with regards to the 2 3/4" vs 3"
I was told my shotgun wouldn't cycle 2 3/4" properly but since I am not actually firing that shouldn't matter.
