Gunstock refinishing
« on: December 23, 2016, 10:21:14 AM »
I just got a pre-64 model 70 that needs a stock refinish. No major damage or anything, but has a rock hard white line recoil pad.  Who has "a guy" that can at least fit a new pad and maybe refinish to that matte oil like the classic model 70?
Prefer a local guy, but I can ship the stock if it's necessary.

Any suggestions? Was going to try CaR firearms in Tukwila, but he's more machinist than carpenter.
