What 6.5 creedmore rifle to get?

I'm wanting a 6.5 creedmore for hunting and for target shooting. Due to weight I'm thinking a AR setup is out of the picture. Was thinking about a ruger American?, savage? Just not sure yet. Will be wanting to use it on antelope and deer so something that is not too heavy.

I honestly haven't heard many if any bad reviews on any of the 6.5 creedmoors being produced these days. I'm thinking it's basically depending on your preference and what your budget is. I recently researched the 6.5 Cr a bunch and I chose the Savage lightweight Hunter. Topped with a VX2 4-12 CDS and Talley ultralights, the complete set up is around 6.8 lbs. Perfect for the application I wanted.

Savage light weight hunter if I wanted light.  Savage ba stealth if weight wasn't an issue.  Average hunting rifle....Savage 11,12,14, etc.

I've got one. Killed a bunch of coyotes with it this year already. Love the rifle. adjusting the trigger down to 3 lbs was easy.

During my search, the gun that actually felt the best was a Browning X-Bolt. It was a little longer than I was looking for, but had the best overall feel. Not sure about their reviews either.

I'm really starting to lean towards the American just with the price point and the good reviews. I can buy two ruger Americans for the price of one savage. I really do not think I will be shooting out to 1000 yards but would be target shooting out to 500.

Buy your wife the savage lady hunter in 6.5.  She will never need another rifle and will love you for another lifetime.  Great guns for ladies!!

I went with the Bergara B 14 in synthetic. 22 inch barrel is the same length as my Remington mtn rifle but it is a little heavier. the synthetic stock has a great feel compared to most others and the trigger is adjustable. They guarantee sub moa, which i will put to the test this weekend once my new Leupold shows up.

I'm going to pick up a savage 10 predator soon, looked at the savage 11 trophy combos, and the Ruger American predator, by. I like the accustock of the model 10, and the magazine system seems much better. The rar gets awesome reviews though, and if something changes I'll be picking that one up instead. Only thing I didn't like about it was the somewhat chinsy feeling stock that's on it.

I really like the stock on my Kimbers.  Very stout for the weight savings.

I'm really starting to lean towards a American predator for hunting use, and building a savage in a chassis for bench work, instead of buying a model 10 predator for both.

There's a pretty big group on Facebook all about the American, some impressive stuff posted on there, and a lot of rumors of new stock options coming up at shot.

Finally got out and shot my new Bergara B 14 6.5 creedmoor yesterday. I shot five-5 shot groups using hornady 140gr bthp ammo. Largest group at 100 yds was just under 1 MOA and best group was 1/2 MOA! With reloading I should be able to shrink this a bit or at least maintain it. Trigger is definitely better than my Rem 700's and overall fit and feel are going to be hard to beat at its price point. Before I left the range i dialed in the 450 yd target and sent one; hit it dead center. For what it is worth, I have shot the ruger american 6.5 creedmoor and it was very accurate as well. If you are looking for something in the $400-450 price range that is a great option, but if you are looking in the $700 price range I would strongly consider the B 14. Just my

I have the Bergara B14 and it's a sub moa shooter with the Hornady factory 143 gr precision hunter loads. Quality gun that the only negative thing I can think of is its a little on the heavy side.
