Like Leupold.  Got a VX II 3x9 on my Ultra Mag.  Best scope I've owned.

Leupold leads the industry in customer service. I will not buy anything but there products any more.

Just wondering if anybody has seen this before in Leupold, or in other brands. If any body knows what the return policy is that would be nice to know also, but i will attempt to look it up.
Yes - I have seen it happen several times in the Leupolds. It's usually the adjustments and some times the reticle that goes bad. I have seen shots go all over the target and then I have seen where you couldn't even make an adjustment...they would "seize" up.

It is really good that Leupold has such great Customer Service.   I bought my first scope in 1966 a Weaver k-4, it's still in use on my nephew rifle.  Since then I've owned a bunch of rifle scope and had them on some pretty heavy kicking rifles, I even owned a gun shop for a few years, right now I'm taking a rough quess and I think I have about 15+.  I've owened Weaver (old and new), Bushnell, Redfield, Lyman, Kollmorgan, Tasco(70's era), Leupold, Nikon, and a couple of Burris scopes.  The only scope that I have ever had a problem with was a Leupold Vari-X II 1x4x20mm that died on a 35 Whelen, Leupold fixed it right away and I still use it and like it very much but keep it on a light kicking 300 Savage.  Put a Weaver V-3 on the Whelen and have no problems since.

I bought a used rifle once with a Leupold 2x7 scope on it that I couldn't get the point of impact to move far enough to the right to get it sighted in. I sent it to the factory and I had the repaired version in my mailbox 10 days later. They replaced the windage and elevation adjustments for no charge and its worked great ever since. Even though there are alot of very good scopes out there, I won't put anything on my hunting rifles but Leupolds.  The quality and price agree with me.
