No CPl still?
« on: January 04, 2017, 11:00:11 PM »
Applied for my CPL on December 1st. Still no letter or anything...Think it's just taking longer because of the holidays? Does it normally take longer than the 30 days they say it will take? Thanks again everyone.

Check out rcw9.41.070, it reads they shall  issue within 30 days of filing unless you do not have a valid drivers license, wa I'd card or been a resident for less than 90 days.    I had the same problem at sno co courthouse with sheriffs, at 31 days I went to get mine, nope, I quoted the rcw and was told, I don't care what the law says.    I went home and called legislater, they made a few phonecalls, called me back and said I could go pickup my permit.   That was in the 80s.     Call your legislative rep.

Thanks for the advice. I fit the criteria, so I'm disappointed I haven't got mine yet. I have the day off tomorrow so will make some phone calls.

Have you called to see if it's done? I didn't receive a letter or call, just called in and they said come pick it up.

Interesting that the holidays were on Sunday and even if they took the Mondays off, that's two extra days. Call your State Representative.

Your getting the run-around.  Raise hell, don't let them ignore the law.

I had to push hard on them and they got it done.  They weren't happy, I was fair and pleasant, but firm.

Should be more than that:

As always, double check with the state before you get there.
