Seems to be a love hate. I did not like the one I fondled, but I've never pulled the trigger on one so I can't speak to how they shoot.
It is foolish and wrong to mourn these men.  Rather, we should thank god that such men lived.  -General George S. Patton

Not a Kimber rifle fan based on my personal experience with a single Montana rifle in .325wsm.

I love mine.  Shoots great with my handloads.  Only shot it at the range to date but hope to take my bear with it next year.  Lite..Easy to shoot....Low recoil....Decent trigger.....What's not to love!!  Well other than the price...lol

My dad owned a Kimber that just flat out wouldn't shoot any tighter than 1 MOA after a ton of hand loading. Had a co-worker a while back that had a Kimber that shot lights out, got his second one and it wouldn't shoot. From everything I hear they are hit or miss accuracy wise.

I've handled the mountain ascent a few different times. Amazingly light, awesome rifle, but too spendy for a crapshoot on accuracy for me. I actually was thinking of getting one for my wife and a kid down the road but finally walked away.

Jrebel how is the finish on your gun holding up?

Looks like they have a 6.5 creedmoor now.

I know 4 guys with the 280AI and 1 with a 308 and they all have no problems shooting 1/2" or less  groups with handloads. I would love to get one for the Backcountry but my Cooper works fine.

Have a 280AI and very happy with it, groups good with hand loads. Carries nice, I do have some wear marks after 1 season.

I have more then wear marks. The whole sticky finish is peeling off the gun. I'm not worried about it but would really like just a textured finish on the stock instead of the fancy sticky stuff

I've watched jjhunter hit yotes at 800 yards with his Kimber.
