Looks like a wolf to me
«
on:
January 07, 2017, 08:12:29 PM »
My daughter and I were heading to Pullman and had just passed Colton Thursday 1/5/17 when we saw this guy out in the field. Neither one of us could believe the size of it and she even said "That's no coyote!" We turned around and got some pictures with my phone when it was heading out. The pictures are not very good because I was zoomed all the way in. Maybe someone else has seen one around the Pullman/ Colton area? I know someone got into trouble shooting one around there awhile back.

I was hoping to get a more knowledgeable opinion than mine. He just looked really big for a coyote.

Here I was all excited because I thought I saw a wolf, but it sounds like it is probably just a big coyote.

I had the same thought a couple years ago just outside of Colfax. Got some pics and when I got home put them on the computer screen and it was a coyote. I'd have sworn it was a wolf at the time.

I was driving around the Palouse Saturday. Coyotes were everywhere. That cold weather gets them on the move that's for sure

Within, five minutes of seeing this one, we saw a pair just outside of Pullman in the snow. They sure stand out.

If, and I mean if, you really have, and I mean really have, actually seen a real wolf in the wild, you know that pic shows a coyote.
I get guys all the time along the roads and coming down the driveway in the Blues who are hunting telling me they saw wolves here and wolves there, 2 and 3 and 4 at a time.
SMH, 99 percent of them saw exactly what that pic shows.
P.S. Not knocking Greenhorn.
