The website still works for me this morning  :dunno:  Also, saw a buck last night with freshly dropped antlers, his pedicles were clearly visible

The OP's link no longer works, but the site (http://www.deertrail.us/) still has the videos.
And the black/dark squirrels are back!

This is what the site now says: It is spring so the deer are shedding their winter coat which has woolly like fur under hollow hair shafts to help keep them warm in winter. The summer coat has individual hairs to help them stay cooler. Healthy deer tend to shed earlier and faster than those in poor condition. During this time the coat will look patchy from scratching on trees or brush & grooming as the shedding hair is irritating. We have been looking into setting up some new cams for the main panoramic view and have been considering shutting down the cams while we do this. Since we have had a good winter and spring the deer are shedding quickly this year and quite scruffy which has upset some of the viewers, so we have decided to shut down the cams. We have contacted the necessary authorities. And are now considering the set up for the cams or whether it is worth the effort. We set up the cams so that we can just enjoy watching the wildlife and decided to share the live feed with others. We never dreamed that Deer Trail would become what it has today. It would be nice if people could just enjoy watching to see what shows up with us but this has never really occurred. We no longer enjoy running the Deer Trail like we used to and would like to consider our options. Thank you for your understanding. James & Candace
Video & pictures will be placed at https://www.facebook.com/Deer-Trail-416353031788925/ and https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCzxovX9YcHefjtUpHHcJ4CQ when available. The sky cam is still running at http://www.deertrail.us/viewercams/skycam.html

I'm trying to imagine what might have happened. Someone must have complained. I know it was none of us, we know better. My guess is some animal rights activists complained that they were intentionally starving the deer or something then making a threat. Lets show deertrail some support.  :twocents: :hello:
