rabbit hunting in Arlington

i have a friend that lives by the fish hatchery in Arlington and they said that they have not seen a rabbit there in about five years should i put a garden out back to get them to come in or should i find a new place to hunt??

I see the rabbit populations booming in may through july over near me. Maybe a different season is better? The dogs really eat em up in the summer time like little tasty nuggets.
