If I drop the air pressure I get a message on my dash that annoys me. I will look at going to 265's. Can my speedo still work right?Carl
If the truck is empty you should dropped the air pressure. If it were me I'd drop to 60 like the front. If your gona load that sucker up for a decent drive then I'd bump it back up. Make your tires last longer and get more traction.

Empty he probably doesn't need more than 45 on the rear.As far as the TPMS, the dealer should be able to adjust at which PSI the light comes on.
Any decent scanner can reset the tpms values . I know the toys get real hard the second half of there life like many tires out there . Sieping them will help traction .
What would happen if the TPM's were removed or can that be done?
I ditched my AT3's and went to BFG KO2's on my F150. I couldn't be happier, those AT3's were some of the worst winter driving tires I've ever had, I was so disappointed in them. I liked the KO2's so much I bought a second set for the F250 HD. I personally love the grip they give in the winter and the thicker sidewall from the original KO's. If I had to guess I would say over half of the people at my shop are running the KO2's and no body complains about them.

He put on larger off-road tires (Cooper SST) the factory value is 85 pounds, he's basically been hold its not possible to reset it. Both the Ford dealer and tire shop say it's against federal, law to change it. I'd appreciate any leads on who could reset the value to a level appropriate for the tire.
Had new tires installed on my wife's Lexus last week, had them replace the two tire pressure censers that were bad. Turns out the other two went bad after they replaced the bad ones. 60.00 a piece, sucks!
OK went to two stores today, they both said they cannot change the gauge pressure settings on 2015 Chev Silverado 2500HD. they both said VERY FEW cars can be changed. One store tried to sell me tires of some off brand, Falcon, I think, for $250 each!!!I am going to look at BFG tires and the Michelin. Calling Discount in a few minutes.Carl

Most oe style scanners have the ability to set tire inflation paramiters for different load ranges I dropped mine from 70 psi to 45psi.

Literally everyone I talk to, tire shop wise, cannot override this TPMS. Drives me nuts. It's a 2014 Ram 2500.I'd love to know how to override this, without driving to your shop.
