What all tackle do I need for this trip?

Is everything available in local shops, just want to be properly prepared and not show up needing anything.
some large circle hooks I love to use them,3/0 4/0 slip set up 1/2 oz on the Palouse and more in the snake...leave the hook showing,no need to hide it at all..WARNING,the dreaded somewhat bearded clams have been spotted before in the area, look away if one is spotted..It will make you wash your eyes out with acid,,well ok whiskey...92xj has been hunting these things, when relating the stories of rare sightings to him,he gets all rapt and edgy..I fear for him :chuckle:

I'm a master hunter and gatherer of them.

You all shouldn't have any problem at all. I run a 21ft Nitro with 225 no problem. I did get a little to far off to one side last year which was a pucker moment as I slowed down from to 50 to 40mph. When I pulled out the lower unit had a new finely sand job. Honestly just follow someone the first time and you will be fine. I do not recommend trying to idle through though if you have a larger boat. I made that mistake my first outing a few years back.  There used to be some markers that were nice to guide the way. Some jerks removed them though.

I imagine driveway markers would work?  :dunno:

If so I'm in to help, might even have some laying around

Stupid to put anything up.  It won't stay up. Mark it on your GPS and run wide open. Channel, if you can even call it that, moves every year some. If you're not going to fish the flats and just want to make it into the river,  run wide open, aim for the water between the two grassy shores and hold on, you'll be fine.
