Thoughts on nosler m48 outfitter?
« on: January 23, 2017, 09:12:33 PM »
I hunt the back country out of a pack every year. My longest shot on big game was 120 yards and that's 15 deer and three elk, I'm getting into black bear hunting and always have a rifle on me when out. I'm looking for a "do all" hunting rifle.

What do you guys think about this rifle in 30-06 with a 3x9 scope on a good quality set of quick detach scope mounts to cover everything from coyotes to black bear? I am preparing my opening arguments to justify this to the wife.

Looks to be a good set up. Go with the most solid QD mounts you can get, but I am betting you never remove them except to target shoot.

Looks a bit like the Ruger Guide gun......... which also might fit what you're looking for?

Ruger guide gun is nice but a pound heavier and a little bulkier
