Wondering if anyone has spent any time behind one of these looking at the regal 65.  Seem to have good reviews on birding forums not much anywhere else ...

I've had one for about 6 years and when I use it I have had no complaints. Just know going in that it is a large scope so you will need a very sturdy tripod to support it. I do not take it when I am hiking miles in anywhere I just rely on binoculars then. Hope this helps.

I hunt a lot in CO and ID so I also put lots of miles on my boots. So with that said I would recommend investing in the best binos you can get and even consider getting them with a built in range finder to reduce gear / weight. I don't know that I have ever wished I had a spotter over my Leica 10X42s. But then I am not a trophy hunter so trying to determine if I am looking at a 340 or 350 animal never worried me. I can tell you this, when you see a 380+ bull in binos there is no doubt that you are looking at a big animal.    :chuckle:
