Awesome post, Gringo.
:fire.:

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

I gotta say Gringo, I genuinely look forward to reading your posts.  You bring about a lot of experience to the table in an insightful, humble manner.  Thanks for sharing your daughter's experience and congratulations on her TWO victories of 2017.  The first of many I'm sure!

I'm trying to load a couple of video links.  We don't have video of the shot, just fun after.

Let me know if that works.  Also curious if it opens just that link or others as well....

One more, this is the second bird after the shot, coming out of the blind.

https://1drv.ms/v/s!AuLxmOu0IrjQg2OR85Xs4R-JSlpT

A couple more things.  She's wearing her brothers jacket which is WAY too big for her.  On this bird, the Toms were 80-100 yards off to our left all morning but showed no interest of coming our way.  Dale got into an argument with the lead hen and apparently talked enough smack to her that she was going to come check it out.  She ended up walking right past us which caused another hen to follow.....which brought the toms into range.

He was definitely "speaking the language".

The mod team has decided to name this youth hunt the Annual "Iceman" Memorial Youth Turkey Hunt in memory of Kevin "Iceman" Wolfe. Kevin was one of our moderators, he loved taking his kids hunting and really was an ardent proponent of outdoor family activities, this seems like a great way to remember Kevin. Chris (Nock_Nock) at Willy's Log Furniture made and donated a plaque in memory of Iceman, it arrived just in time for hunt photos, thanks so much Chris.

It was a pleasure meeting you Reagan, you were fun to hunt with and really did a great job!  :hello:

Perfect.

@NOCK NOCK  Can't thank you enough for your generosity. That plaque turned out awesome. I look forward to seeing pics of it every year for years to come.
@bearpaw  Thanks for donating these hunts to the kids. Their smiles make it all worthwhile I bet.

Thank you Dale & Josh, I feel very lucky and honored to be a part of this awesome hunt!!
