So dumb! Still don't understand why people can't keep their hands off stuff that doesn't belong to them.

I lost one last year, pretty sad that you can't set up a trail camera without locking it up anymore, never used to be a problem

I'm now at 4 total stolen. 2 when I was naive and didn't think people would take them if in plain sight, 1 after I hid it well, and another after it was well hidden with a cable lock. They chipped the plastic part of the camera that attaches to the cable around the tree off. About done with 'em. At 130=140 bucks a pop, things get expensive quick.

I had a couple cameras stolen in an area a few years ago.

Turns out, my buddy was hunting the area this year, calls me up and says he found an old camera growing into a tree. SD card was gone, but camera was still there.  :o

Anyone have some broken cams that don't work? Could set them up to be easily seen with another well hidden pointing towards the other. See who comes in, post it,  then give to the cops

I dont think the cops would waste their time if all you have is pictures. If you had pictures and names, that's a different story. I could be wrong tho.

I found a camera over a bait pile in Hancock and called WDFW.  When I talked to them they said that there have been many cameras taken in the area and that they were looking into it.

Just curious.....why would you call wdfw? Did something look illegal?

Probably why the guy in this article http://www.kentucky.com/news/local/crime/article85851172.html put explosives in broken trail cams. Tired of his stuff being taken.
