Having fun in NE running dogs getting ready for trials.  Thought this was a pretty cool video.

Looking good, good luck this upcoming season.
There are only two types of dogs: wolves and wirehaireds.

Yes it is.  Hunting season ends on the 31st in NE, so we hunted a little as well.  Quail numbers in SE NE and KS have been very good the last few years.  Here's a video just running dogs.   Once you get to Central NE, KS, and further East the trial grounds become very defined.  Dogs have to learn how to run edges with good cover because that's where the wild birds will be.   Good dogs will use the wind to run the downwind side of an edge row and cover lots of ground quickly. Here's an All Age dog doing just that. For reference we were averaging 13-15 mph in the side by side. Unfortunately YouTube degrades the video.
