Saw this big critter outside Colfax today...
I felt like a one legged cat trying to bury a terd on a frozen pond!

Every moose I've ever seen has been exciting, even in areas that have a bunch. I'm guessing one around Colfax is a real 'wow' event?

There was a small bull and a cow hanging out just north of town a few years ago.  I saw them 3 years in a row.  Definitely neat to see.

We had one come through  years ago when we lived in Green Hollow just out of Colfax.

I saw a cow and calf one time behind the house on the west side of the road at the top of the hill headed towards spokane, just before Arrow/Pape' Machine.  I thought their horses had gotten out, but when i looked closer, it was a big cow and a small calf.  must have been 10-11 years ago.

I have seen a cow and a decent bull on Kamiak Butte east of Colfax (separate days). Also saw a guy packing some sheds out by Albion. They are all over Moscow so its not hard to believe they are in the Colfax/Pullman area.

We have a moose or two swing through Union Flat every winter.  Several years ago, a cow spent most of her winter down there.

You will also see them south of Pullman near Bald Butte, or up by Kamiak Butte (as KP-Skagit pointed out), especially in the winter.

I used to see them 20 years ago while bird hunting in some random draw west of Colfax

I probably saw them between 5 and 10 times during my time at WSU.  It seemed that they would stay in one location for a decent amount of time and I'd see them repeatedly in the same spot.
