The picture you have if identifiable should work. Call the sheriff, show him picture. There's big fines that come with letting dogs run.  Back in October I had the same problem. Cats were ending up missing, figured it was coyotes until I caught 4-6 dogs running around from 12:00 am to 4:00 am. One morning my wife let out one of our inside cats and next thing we get a call from a neighbor saying that he just watched a couple dogs chase our cat off the porch. So me and the wife went to look for him. Found him dead with multiple punctures. I went to confront the neighbor about his dogs and he told me to get the F off his property. That's when I called the sheriff. 1 picture is all it took. First they get a fine up to $250 plus if their dog is not licensed there is $40 more. If the dog shows back up the fine doubles and just goes up from there. I was told by the animal control officer if I shoot the dogs and they die elsewhere not on my property, that just means I'm a bad shot. I have not had any more problems. Yet. :mgun2:

Maybe we should have a huntwa forum sticky.

"Best ways to kill you neighbors pet"

Yes, there's a few old timers that still say that. Hopefully they get shouted down quick. There are legal options that don't make everyone in your community hate you.

Couldn't agree more. Silencers  :chuckle:
Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.

This thread is full of bad advice, so there won't be any harm in adding mine to it, then. Are you on good terms with your neighbor? If so, talk to him. Let him know what the problem is having his dog on your property. If not, talk to him anyway and let him know what the problem is having his dog on your property. If talking to him doesn't work, use legal channels and do it by the numbers. If you shoot the dog, you could face repercussions, both legally and/or from an incensed neighbor who lost his dog. If you hit it with a paintball, you could possibly face animal cruelty charges and some of those are felonies/loss of rights. You also don't want a neighbor feud. You're probably going to be neighbors for a long time. Figure out a way to work with him if at all possible.

I'm a big fan of talking to you neighbor first. Just make sure to stay polite and positive. Document everything.

Especially on those old wooden pews, churches have really good acoustics!!

BB/Airsoft bbs to the butt will do the trick. Could set up a live trap and see if you get the turd. Keep him there a couple days and tell your neighbor to build a fence/kennel for their pooch.
