Hand held gps units
« on: January 31, 2017, 03:32:07 PM »
So I have a old gpsmap 60 right now and I'm looking to upgrade. I've only looked on line at a few of them and still don't really have it narrowed down. I wanted to hear from any of you out there that have newer gps units and what you have and like about them and also maybe what you don't like. I typically hunt by myself a lot so not sure the rino is necessary. I do a lot of back country try hunting and also go pretty deep in the mountains during the winter on my snowmobile. Ok so let me hear what gps unit you guys like! Thanks in advance

What benefits or features do you think you're missing on the Garmin 60 that a newer model might have?
Nature. It's cheaper than therapy.

I love my 655t but if a radio wasn't needed I would like a larger screen like Montana unit for sat. images.  Birdseye/google earth.
MAGA!  Again..

The ability to have a map chip(onXmaps, or harming hunt), my 60cs does not take chips. The other would be better imagery and better battery life.

I would still buy a Rhino.
I have five. Two 110, two 120 and a 550.
I hunt alone sometimes and leave one on in my truck.
Every so often I key the mic to send my location to the truck unit.
My family. Knows that if I go missing to find my truck and the Rhino.
