Reloading 9mm and .40 S&W

I haven't loaded enough rifle ammo to comment from experience, but people I have talked to have had the same experiences with Winchester rifle brass.

 I see a little talk about IPSC, If your shooting .40 for that game, use 180 grain bullets and stay away from Winchester 231. Its a great powder for .45acp but its to slow for .40, your loads will be all over the place (not consistent) and its tough to make major (temp affects)

For IPSC bullets and practice I loved Ranier Balistics copper washed. I've been out of the game for a couple of years, but I was VERY involved for about 10 years before that.

My .40s&w powder puff load

winchester sp primers; 180 xtp, 3.3 titegroup; oal 1.132

You will need lighter springs to get this load to function flawlessly, or just increase power until you are not getting any ftf's.

Thanks 12Gauge, Winchester 231 was one of the powders I was looking at also. 

What brand are you using for your 125 grain bullet?  This is the weight I was planing to use, so it appears I'm heading in the right direction. 

I had a stock pile of Red Line.  A company out of Oregon, they are normally at gun shows in Puyallup.  Speer has 125 grains too.  Off name brand are cheaper and I worry about the weight and not who makes it.
