2009 Raffle Deer Tags
« on: February 17, 2009, 11:10:12 AM »
I noticed that there are two new raffle deer tags available this year, Raffle Mule Deer and Raffle Whitetail deer. This is in addidion to the standard Eastside Raffle deer. I know this was brought up last year but I thought they were just going to offer the extra whitey tag. So either there is an error in the ordering system or there really are two new tags available.

 :yeah:

That's what I was thinking.  If you are going to blow 7K on a special whitetail tag you better have one HELLUVA buck tied to a tree to use it on...  Maybe some nocturnal monster that never shows his face in the daylight until the shootin' stops...

$7 K for a whitetail is not that bad if you can hunt 4 months straight.  An average whitetail hunt is running about $3K for a 7 day hunt.
I think there might be a monster whitetail getting bag this yr.

There has to be an open season in that unit at some time. Can't hunt on reservations, and I am sure there are a few other loopholes but for the most part yes you can.

Well, the online licensing site used to have an option to buy a eastern deer raffle chance as well as a mule deer. The have taken the eastern deer away but I have already purchased several of them. Now I have to call them to see what my options are. :bash: :bash: :bash:
